Nusa Dua
A lovely end to a wonderful holiday.
02.07.2011
We left the Bali Hyatt feeling a little sad knowing our Bali holiday was coming to an end.
On the way over to Nusa Dua i became very excited at the prospect of having a couple of days in a different location with new surroundings.
Rob sat in the front with our wonderful driver Kutut and chatted to him all the way over non stop,Ketut said he felt so privileged to have been our driver for the last two weeks and was not looking foward to our departure. On arrival at The Grand Hyatt we felt so proud to be driven up the driveway to this Grand entrance by Ketut. It was a very sad goodbye to such a lovely gentleman.
On check in we were advised that they had given us a complimentary upgrade to a Ocean facing room as we had just spent the last 15 days at their sister hotel in Sanur,we were very happy and the view was to die for.
The room itself was just beautiful.
It has been 10years since our last stay in Nusa Dua and i had forgotten just how beautiful it is,the beaches are of a different colour sand and water and are just so inviting.
We decided to have a look around this amazing hotel,it was huge and really well laid out, occupancy was at 95% and you would not have known. The pools were huge and just beautiful, along with the gardens.
we decided to have lunch overlooking the pool and the food was lovely and healthy and cocktails yummy.

After a relaxing afternoon we went over to the Bali Collection which is just across the road from the Hyatt,i sat rob in a bar so i could have a look around the shops, one thing i noticed were the prices,a little more expensive than Kuta Legian and Sanur but when talking in Rupiah it was not that much more.
Decision time, where should we eat tonight?lucky for the i phone and free wi fi in the bar we were able to get onto Trip Advisor, decisions decisions as every restaurant looked so nice so we had a look at the menus then ended up at Aroma and it was lovely with heaps of people and good value food and drinks.
We actually relaxed for the last two days on the beach with the lovely beach ladies whom sell their goods to you whilst you are doing nothing, brilliant way to shop. Its been a few years since i have noticed these beach vendors with their hats on saying you remember me (like how can you forget) I will not buy from these beach people in Legian a they are just too pushy for me.
All good things come to an end, last day is always a sad day but i can say im ready to go home, we had a wonderful time and will be taking with us fond memories of another wonderful holiday.
I really would like to thank each and everyone of you who take the time to contribute to this forum as without you all we would not have had such a great time.
